With pleasure we will prepare tickets for organised trips to Auschwitz, Wieliczka Salt Mines and many more. We offer comfortable, organised trips in many languages with pick-ups from Kapelanka street 6a. Just let us know what you need!
Our apartments are located in the southern part of the city. It's around 3 km from the Market Square but we are really conveniently communicated with the centre - you can catch a tram right in front of our building and it's just about 10 min to get closer to the centre. If the weather is nice and you feel like it you may even walk to the centre - you can see the lovely "Debniki" neighbourhood and walk by the river.
The area is conveniently located, with easy access to the centre, quiet and pretty nice.
When it comes to grocery stores you can find almost everything you might need in our small neighborhood. The closest grocery store is right in our building - next to entrance F. On the opposite side of the street, on a small Słomiana Street, you may also find some small grocery stores, bakeries, fruit stands. If after getting out of the building you go right, after a 10 minute walk you will get to a big 24/7 TESCO supermarket. The closest ATM is right in the building of Kapelanka 6a, between entrances D and E.
Public transportation is really easy and efficient in Cracow so we strongly advice using it - especially trams. Below you can find some useful information. While check-in we will be happy to explain all these details, show you the tram stop etc. We will also preapre a map and some brochures for you so that you have some basic information about our city.
In order to get to the centre we recommend several trams.
Each of these trams will take you as far as the 1st and 2nd stop after the bridge (after you see that you are crossing the river). From there, it is very close to Wawel Castle and to the Jewish District Kazimierz. Then, these trams have slightly different routes. Tram number 52 will get you to the stop ‘Poczta Główna’ (which means ‘Main Post Office’, since the stop is just in front of the biggest and the oldest post office in the city) - it’s a perfect stop if you want to reach Market Square and Old Town. This number also reaches Bus and Railway station. Numbers 11 and 22 will go further on Dietla Street, you can for example take advantage of the ‘Starowiślna’ stop at the crossroads of Starowiślna and Dietla Streets - from here you can walk to both the Market Square and the Jewish District. Tram number 18 will take you to the very heart of the city, if you get off at the stop “Plac wszystkich świętych” it will take a 2 minute walk to get to the Market Square.
You can buy tickets inside trams/buses - in special ticketing automats. They work also in English. For Guests staying longer we recommend tickets for 2 and more days what seems to be a cheaper alternative.
If you need to take a taxi especially while coming back at night you can easily catch one in the centre and the cost should be around 20 PLN tops.
At your disposal we have places in underground parking lot (only for cars fuelled with petrol not gas) - after a surcharge in the amount of 25 PLN/day. You can also park your car in front of/behind the building, for free.
