Located at a strategic point of Great Britain - the North East - the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh has for years been one of the most interesting cities in Britain, attracting millions of tourists every year from all over the world. The beginning of the city's history dates back to around the seventh century - the estimated date of construction of a fortress, which is the main attraction of Edinburgh to the present day. The best times of the Scottish capital fall on the Enlightenment, when the city lived m. Al. Alexander Graham Bell and Adam Smith. Edinburgh is primarily one of the most important cultural centers in the UK. The city is famous for its many festivals and events, among which we find m. Al. known to the whole world the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe. Fantastic location between the mountains and the coast opens a wide range of attractions, both natural and those that we find in the city. The most popular street of the city is definitely Princess Street, where you can find not only boutiques of major brands as well as pubs and restaurants, but above all, we will be able to enjoy a renovated overlooking the Edinburgh Castle, which is located directly opposite the street. Visiting the capital of Scotland not to be missed royal residence of Holyrood and the Scottish Royal Museum that its interior is deceptively close to London's Crystal Palace. The facility has an unbelievable amount (approx. 10,000), unique exhibits and national memorabilia. It should also visit the Scottish National Gallery, which is free - contains many unique to the exhibits, including the sheep Dolly - the first cloned animal in the world. Practically every point of the city we can observe the local elevation, bearing the name of King Arthur's Seat (Arthur's Seat), which leads generally and not very demanding path. From the top you can watch the beautiful panorama of both the whole of Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth. The most recognizable church in the capital of Scotland is undoubtedly the cathedral. Giles, dating from the twelfth century (built onto the tower is about the 3rd century younger). In the 18th century, the temple was restored, so the present day tourists from around the world can observe its unique beauty.
