Torun is a city that belongs to an extremely interesting architecturally. Many tourists going there just to be able to look at budowlom and stay in a place where the atmosphere is really unique. In Torun is the largest - Krakow - the number of authentic monuments of Gothic art and architecture in Poland. Gothic is a trademark of Torun. Therefore, the official promotional slogan of the city are the words: "Torun - gothic touch". It was founded in the Middle Ages. The city escaped in its turbulent history destruction of a total coverage, although many medieval structures (such as the Church of St. Nicholas and the castle of the Teutonic Knights) were destroyed. Many preserved medieval monuments carried out in accordance with the canon of the Gothic.
