The National Stadium in Warsaw is located on avenue Prince Jozef Poniatowski 1, in place of the former Tenth Anniversary Stadium. Its construction began in 2008 and lasted three years. The official opening of the stadium took place on 29 January 2012. The author of the architectural design of the building is a consortium of JSK Architects in collaboration with other design offices. The stadium can accommodate 58 500 spectators during sports matches and 72 900 spectators at concerts. Grandstands are built with two storeys, and the stadium itself has a fourth - the highest category in the classification of UEFA.
